In oriental diet, foods are included in the diet for their flavours, energies, and common and organic actions. This is a very different way of viewing diet as in the Western diet emphasis is placed more on the protein, calorie, carbohydrate, vitamin and other nutrient content of foods.
A balanced diet in oriental theory means two different things: First, it means you should eat foods of various flavours, energies, and common and organic actions. Second (and an often overlooked aspect), a balanced diet also means foods are selected according to your individual needs and physical constitution.
Jin Shin Clinic provides general dietary advice based on Oriental dietary theory and your particular state of health. This advice is provided as part of the overall treatment strategy.
If required, a more detailed dietary plan can be developed to include: foods to avoid, foods to include and several recipes.
